Mark Schug

• Mark C. Schug is President of Mark Schug Consulting Services, Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin‑Milwaukee, and Senior Program Advisor and Faculty with the Office for the Advancement of Free Enterprise Education at Lakeland University in Sheboygan, WI.

• Mark taught for 37 years at the middle school, high school, and university levels and directed the UW Milwaukee Center for Economic Education for 12 years. Over the past 13 years, he has managed an economic education, financial education, and research consulting business.

 

• A widely recognized scholar, Mark has written and edited over 230 articles, books, and national curriculum materials. He has published over 125 articles which have appeared in national journals. 

 

• He has been the guest co-editor of 11 issues of Social Education, the flagship journal of the National Council for the Social Studies.

 

• He enjoys speaking and writing about topics in general economics, American economic history, and personal finance. He has spoken to local, state, and national groups throughout the United States and in 12 other countries.  

 

• He served for several years on non-profit boards including the (national) Association of Private Enterprise Education, Economics Wisconsin, Business and Economics Academy of Milwaukee, School Choice Wisconsin, University School of Milwaukee, and the Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies.​
